Ground Information

Like all modern arenas, Yankee Stadium was designed with sight lines in mind, so there isn’t a bad seat in the house. The upper deck of the new Yankee Stadium is now referred to as the “Grandstand” (400’s section) in the upper portion, and the “Terrace” (300’s section) in the lower portion. Many of the rows in the Grandstand are covered from the elements (roughly row 7 and higher), but the entire upper level of the stadium is open air, so when the weather is bad, it offers little protection against the cold or rain.

North Stand: Numerous sections of seating which stretch around the large video screen and iconic Yankee Stadium sign.

East Stand: This section is where the u-shaped section of seating begins and it wraps itself around the pitch.

South Stand: The main seating for the general public is spread out across a colossal structure which spans three sides of the ground and three tiers of seating or even four if you include some of the VIP sections which overhang the pitch rather precariously on the top-floor.

West Stand: The Western stand stretches back around to the area where the video screen is located. If you want the closest seats to the pitch for soccer matches avoid anything central which is accessed via gate 2.

Away fans

Supporters of the oppositions team are primarily housed within sections 223 and 224 of the stadium, however as is customary in US sports fans of both sides are likely to sit together in other sections of the ground.

Away pubs

Parking in the Bronx is a nightmare unless you utilize a service like Parking Panda. Public transport options are excellent, and Uber is also a great way to avoid parking stresses. There are no official parking lots attached to Yankee Stadium. You are on your own in the Bronx. Like any major city driving in New York is notoriously chaotic due to the large amounts of congestion, however the parking situation could be a lot worse with the existence of 10 or so parking lots near to the ground.
