281 days and 21 games later we are finally back at St Mary's. After very rarely missing a game both home and away for the last 7 years - it really is great to be back!
Due to missing no games for my beloved Southampton FC over the last few years I have been selected along with another 1,000 Saints fan to attend every game behind closed doors, due to COVID 19.
It was a great afternoon as we moved into the Premier League's top four by sweeping aside bottom club Sheffield United. Che Adams pounced in the box to poke in the opener, Stuart Armstrong scored a deflected second, and Nathan Redmond came off the bench to add a delightful third.
It was a very strange experience having to have our temperatures checked before the game and wear a mask throughout. However, it was great to witness an extremely convincing 3-0 win.
